In the last few months, I have notice that I'm not really making the money I would like to get from the machine and need to get a smaller vending machine. One reason, I'm not making the money is due to the small number of employees that the bank has which calls for a smaller vending machine to meet supply and demand. I think there may be thirteen people employed at the bank. A small staff really can hurt your sales, because they are not eating enough for you to see the return on your money. I also think that due to the bank being filled with women that plays a role as well, because they are watching their weight and what they eat. Finally, the machine I have bought may be bigger than the number of employees needed to partake with the vending machine.
I have realized that I need to get a smaller vending machine for the ladies at the bank. Now the drinks always seem to be moving along quite well, but the snacks are not getting out the door as fast as I would like them too. So, to anyone who supplies small work place employees with snacks, I think its at your best interest to get a smaller vending machine to help meet the supply and demand. You got to develop that keen sense of knowing good from bad when looking at a location. My advise is you have to do the p.m. and a.m. on any business inorder to tell if they have traffic. Lets take Mcdonalds for example, there is a period of the day when Mcdonalds slows down in doing business and then picks up at a certain time. At 6 am to 9am Mcdonalds is booming then it will slow down for a few hours and pick back up around 12pm for lunch slow again and pick up around 6pm for dinner. When you visit a business do the Mcdonalds and look to see if they are getting morning traffic and then afternoon traffic and then evening traffic. If a business is not getting any traffic when you pull during peeks of the day then thats not a good location.

I have been dealing with a vending locator for about three months, or so and have been them to have a good and bad benefit. My main concern when dealing with a locator was can they really find me profitbable locations. I found this company out of state and began to do business with them. I noticed that most of the places that he got me were not profitable at all. After a few runs I ran up on some places that yielded me the reults I was looking for.
My suggestion for using a locator that is not in town is simple. When you order a location you want to go by the business during peak hours to see if any traffic is coming in and out the business. Next, you should wait before accepting the location may about a week so that you can get a feel for how the location will produce for you in the future. Finally, dont accept the first location he gives you all the time if you dont like a location may them find you another and another until you run up on one that is profitable. Most locators are you going to be profitable for you, because they can't go see the locations they are dishing out. Cycle the locations are few times meaning make them give you a few different locations before you find one you like.
Finally, don't spend a whole lot of money with a locator you got to remember you got other cost to deal with gas, and product cost. You need to keep as much money in your pocket as possible by not going for the high price fee for finding a platinum location. You really just got to get and eye for knowing bull shit ass locations when you see one and tell them to find you another until you find the right one.
