In a situation like this, I think the best thing to do is ask people what they want to see placed in the Vending Machine, and try to get a happy medium of snacks purchased that people will want to eat. People are fickle when it comes to eating snacks out of a Vending Machine. Women like chocolate while men like hard candies or some type of potato chips etc.

The best thing that you can do when you try to service a group of people at a local business is to get an opinion on what folks want to see place in their Vending Machine. Pleasing folks can be a difficult task, but if you just sk then you may save yourself alot of money in the long run.

Smaller Vending Machines

Image via Wikipedia I have been servicing a banks vending machine needs for quite some time. In the last few months, I have notice that I'm not really making the money I would like to get from the machine and need to get a smaller vending machine. One reason, I'm not making the money is due to the small number of employees that the bank has which calls for a smaller vending machine to meet supply and demand. I think there may be thirteen people employed at the bank. A small staff really can hurt your sales, because they are not eating enough for you to see the return on your money. I also think that due to the bank being filled with women that plays a role as well, because they are watching their weight and what they eat. Finally, the machine I have bought may be bigger than the number of employees needed to partake with the vending machine.

I have realized that I need to get a smaller vending machine for the ladies at the bank. Now the drinks always seem to be moving along quite well, but the snacks are not getting out the door as fast as I would like them too. So, to anyone who supplies small work place employees with snacks, I think its at your best interest to get a smaller vending machine to help meet the supply and demand. I will keep you posted on how this on turns out.

If you have any suggestions about how to remedy this problem I would love to hear your opinion on the matter.

In the world of Vending it is very important to keep the customer coming back againg and again to get your product. I have noticed with my business I could have a really good week, and if I put some thing in a machine that they really don't like then I will see a decrease in the money for that week with the snacks that I have offered.

How can a person keep his customers from going to other business? Well, I think something simple as what are your likes and dislikes about what Im doing can really make a difference with the business. When your customers feel like they are part of the family then they are more willing to deal with your ups and downs inside your business. You can give out surveys to build repoire with the clients you have, or you could do sample taste test on items you may want to buy with out buying the whole cow. Finally, you can do raffles and free give aways to help with customer retention inside your business.

I got a friend who is starting a hair care business. He will be selling hair care products that most beauty salons need to service their clients. As we all know, when you start a new business their are so many detailed things that a new business owner has to keep up with. My friend has not even got into business good yet, and has dealt with problems from buying products from other business owners to contract problems. How does a person start a business and maintain it with out going under in the first year ?
Statics have shown that most business fail in the first three years. A key factor that I think causes most businesses to fail is not doing any home work on the market, or field they have chosen to start a business in. Another reason, I think most business fail is they don't have a nest egg for bumps and unexpected expenses that occur within the business. You as a business owner need at least six months worth of rent to sustain you while you build your clients for the business.
Finally, you need a business consultant who can guide you with the know how on how to maintain the business you have chosen. Now how does all this apply to your Vending business well the old saying goes that now matter what line a business you are in the process is all the same. So, if you are selling toilet paper to a dog, or water to a whale their are certain things you have to have in place for your business to be successful.
